Mt. Alto exists to serve God and our local community, make disciples, and to declare the good news of Jesus Christ. Mt. Alto has a rich history that goes all the way back to Possum Trot Church on the Berry College campus. We are members of the Southern Baptist Convention, Georgia Baptist Mission Board, and Floyd County Baptist Association. These partners help us in our mission. 

Mt. Alto has a blended worship that consists of hymns, southern gospel, and contemporary worship music. We also believe in being on mission for our Lord and Savior. Our mission focus is on the Coosa community and Floyd county (our Judea). We also partner with state ministries (our Samaria) and international ministries (to the ends of the earth).
