The Standing Rock Youth Ministry of Mt. Alto Baptist Church seeks to glorify God by teaching His Word, bonding with one another, and standing out as an example of Christ to others by spreading the Word of God.
MINISTRY GOALS
1. Have a youth program that offers a fun atmosphere for students, while also sharing the Gospel and teaching God's Word. 2. Have opportunities for students to grow in discipleship. 3. Train and encourage youth toward excellence. 4. Provide opportunities and events for students to build relationships, fellowship, and invite friends. 5. Send students out to serve others.
Who We Are
"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
We are a group of young people learning to come closer together and reach out for the cause of Christ. We explore what it means to have faith in a changing world, and we support and encourage one another in our unique journeys through life, work, and school.
What We Do
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. " Romans 15:13
We attend various conferences, plan mission trips, lock-ins, cookouts, bonfires, fundraisers, and anything else we can think of to have fun and build friendships as we learn and grow in our knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.
